The Green Hope Visual Arts department has a wonderful visual arts opportunity coming up in March. Dr. Campbell, Research Scholar at Duke University Center for International Studies, will be bringing artists from the Dominican Republic as part of the Transcending Borders program (TranscendBorders.com) to work with our students. The artists and students will use the cooperative efforts of Shirley Carlin's ESL, Johnny Varagas' Spanish, Debbie Yamauchi's World Religions and Teresa Prichard’s Art classes to reflect a mural that represents the Green Hope community. The artists from the Dominican Republic will be here for one day, March 24th to paint the mural with our students’ assistance. Green Hope art students will add the final touches. The mural will be between the senior locker bays and Mr. Boyle's Wood Shop. (The wall you face when you come out of the side entrance at the library.)
